I adore the proportions of this vessel, wider than it is tall. Although too short for a planter (what I was originally intending it to be), it is ideal for an ikebana style bouquet.

Mijikai means short in Japanese.

Ikebana vase with two beautifully delicate decorative handles on either side. Pinched and coiled in a flecked stoneware clay body, creating a subtle textured surface, and glazed in shimmer white.
